IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON ARRIVAL TIMES:
We have gotten a number of inquiries about when people can arrive for the Festival - including asking if people can come in on Thursday night and camp at the venue the night before the Festival begins. This poses a serious logistical and operational hurdle for us. As a solution we have contacted the Privacy Campground in Hancock. MA (approximately 2 miles down the road from the Festival on Route 43). If you wish to arrive in Hancock on Thursday night they can accomodate campers from the Fest. The charge is $19.00 per camp site (for 2 adults - $2 extra per additional adult and $1 per child). If you do decide to camp there you must make your arrangements in advance. The campground's office closes at 9pm but they can make arrangements for you for later arrival only if you call in advance. Please call 413.458.3125 to make your reservations.

KENDA Bringing the Big Show to the 2008 KENDA Bikefest presented by Dirt Rag-
Festival to Feature KENDA Legends Hans Rey, Eric Carter, Brian Lopes and the KENDA Titus Hayes Professional Racing Team.
HANCOCK, MA (June 10th, 2008) – The 2008 KENDA Bikefest presented by Dirt Rag announced today that title sponsor KENDA will be bringing an All-Star line-up to this summer’s Festival in the Berkshires.
KENDA’s North American Marketing Director, Jim Wannamaker stated, “We’re looking forward to really stamping the KENDA name on this Festival and we’re brining some of our top athletes to lead clinics, demos and rides for Fest goers of all ages. We’re bringing in Legends Hans Rey, Brian Lopes and Eric Carter along with members of the KENDA Titus Hayes Professional Racing Team who will be fresh off racing in Mount Snow, VT the weekend before and will be looking forward to coming down to the Festival for some non-competitive fun with their mountain biking brethren.”
In addition to bringing star power to the Festival line-up, KENDA is sponsoring some exciting new activities including a Saturday night, nighttime scavenger hunt ride featuring great prizes for participants young and old. They’re also bringing back some long-time favorites like the KENDA Tire Toss Competition, the KENDA Ultimate Obstacle Course Challenge, and the KENDA Wheelbarrow Races.
Festival Event Director Joan Hanscom says, “What KENDA is doing, in terms of their sponsorship, is simply tremendous. They have focused completely on providing Festival goers with a fun time be it on the bike or off. Bringing in their Legends and the KENDA Titus Hayes Pro Team is huge. Festival goers will get to ride, learn and simply kick back with some of the premiere athletes in the sport. KENDA is also bringing a huge retail presence. In fact, if all goes according to schedule Fest goers will see lots of new KENDA products on display and for sale. It’s great, fun stuff.”
