| Hi there. No major changes coming - except lots of great new energy from Kenda and Dirt Rag and a focus on more and better riding, more activities at the venue and just generally speaking a whole lot of enthusiasm for making the Festival a great time for all. Stay tuned to this site because we'll be pushing out news on a regular basis about sponsors, activities and pro riders. Cheers! |

| Early bird pricing disappears on March 31st so to get your $15 discount register before then. To sign up as Ride Leader click on the Volunteers tab at the top of the home page and it will take you to a page with an online form to complete. See you in July! |

| 2008 will mark my 12th year attending the festival, an event that I look forward to and plan on each year. I love all the riding, the new friends, the comradrie, the expo and all the fun.
What I absolutely do not like is the increasing number of inconsiderate, rude, obnoxious low lifes that seem to find it necessary to bring their slacker lifestyles with them to the festival. Nothing kills the mood for me or takes away from the enjoyment of the festival more than miscreants shooting off fireworks after lights out, music blaring after lights out, screaming and drunken behavior after lights out. Having "Fun" without consideration for the other attendees who are there to enjoy mountain biking and not just looking for a reason to party is intollerable. What kind of message does this send to the local community when the police have to show up to get things under control?? Not a good one. Where is festival security during these problems? In previous years, prior to this site, staff would be on hand to quite rude attendees or kick them out.
Trust me, I'm not a killjoy or fuddy-duddy. I just don't want my tent to catch fire from an errant bottle rocket or have my things stolen by some drunken ass who doesn't care about what other people think.
And for heavens sake... BAN THE DISCO TENT!!! It's a magnet for trouble.
Please encourage attendees to pick up trash if they see it laying around. This isn't Woodstock, so let's not abuse the "Privledge" of using this site. |

| Hi Happy Dave! How's it going? All here is well. I'm signed up to RL again. Hopefully I can get more of the VT gang back - I'm workin' on it. I can't wait for yet another great weekend. Food for thought, definately not to eat - You can't cook a turkey outside in the winter - the grounds too cold! I'll tell you the story at the fest! VT Lisa |

| Hi All, this will be my 7th event and look forward to many more. People need to stop complaining and just enjoy the festival. It's annoying to read people complain about the trails and the late night crowd all the time. I appreciate everything that " Pedros " does for us and all the hard work alot of people put into this. I'll take the trails in any way and be happy with that. And as for the late night owl's thats fine too, you can't expect to put thousands of people together from all over the country from all walks of life and expect everyone to be the same. For some people this is the only small vacation they get to let loose. There are going to be quiet people and noisy people, it's to be expected. You can't please everyone. It may be chilly or hot, wet or dry, quiet or noisy. So come prepared with an extra sweatshirt and earplugs. If people were more open minded and ready for any situation that may arise being among a crowd of hundreds of bikers young and old you would not have any issues. I am just happy to be in a beautiful area surrounded by fellow bikers of all kinds having a great time.
CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS YEAR - BRING IT ON !!!!!

| You said it Jen. Reverend needs to keep that stuff in his church. This is a festival not a service !! Hundreds of people all into different things camping in the same place. Ban the disco tent ? Are you kidding me ?
I believe Jesus would have said something like you are supposed to love everyone and try to get along with them, and understand that we are all different and celebrate that.
One love man, one love. |
