What is the KENDA BikeFest presented by DIRT RAG? A long weekend spent enjoying the best of the Berkshires by bicycle. Camping, contests, clinics, special guest Pro Athlete appearances, live entertainment, family and kid-friendly activities and much more.
The Kenda Bike Fest presented by DIRT RAG is fun on a bicycle for recreational riders of all ages, interests and abilities taking place on July 25-27, 2008 at the Apple Tree Hill Organic Farm on Route 43, Hancock, MA.
The Festival has been, since 1995, one of the largest non-competitive cycling and demonstration events in the country. It began as a small group of friends and family gathering for a weekend of mountain biking, camping, music, fun and games. Today it is that a much more. Many of the same friends and family still come - and they're bringing their kids with them too! The Cycling Industry turns our in force- showcasing their products to the festival-goers in a very unique, hands-on, user-friendly setting and providing Festival attendees access to new products generally not available to those outside of the Industry. So come, join us for camping, great riding, music, fun and bikes, bikes, bikes! See you in July!

We're excited to have you join us for this year's Festival and will do our best to see that all of our attendees enjoy the beautiful Berkshires, have a great weekend of riding the trails (and roads) surrounding our venue and take part in all the activities on offer. Please remember that we are guests of the Town of Hancock and the Apple Tree Hill Organic Farm - please treat our hosts with respect. To ensure that the Festival runs smoothly please note that the following rules will be strictly enforced:
- The 2008 Kenda BikeFest, presented by Dirt Rag is a "ZeroWaste" event. All attendees are responsible for keeping their area clean. Please dispose of all trash in the appropriate dumpsters providedor this purpose - compostables, trash and recyclables all have their own clearly marked containers. This will help our grounds crew tremendously and also keep the camp area clean and pleasant for all camping. PLEASE DO NOT DISPOSE OF TRASH ON TRAILS - what you carry in you should carry out.
- The use of pyrotechnics (fireworks, roman candles, etc.) is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. Anybody found with fireworks of any sort will be subject to arrest per the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- No Motorcycles are allowed on the campground.
- Due to the nature of the venue and for the safety of cyclists and campers vehicular traffic must be kept to a minimum. Once your car is parked in the camping area consider it parked for the weekend. If you plan on using your car to come and go throughout the weekend you must park it in Day Parking near the main gate.
- Secure your bikes / equipment / belongings at all times. The Festival is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Helmets MUST be worn whenever riding a bike.
- Riders should carry a spare tube, patch kit and pump on all rides and know how to fix a flat (or ride with a partner that knows how.)
- Please ride single file while riding on the road and obey all traffic rules.
- No campfires or bonfires are allowed. Camp stoves, grills and cookers are welcome.
- The use of portable generators is prohibited.
- Quiet hours are strictly enforced after 11pm each night. Event Security, working in conjunction with the State Police, will be deployed in the event of excessive noise, violent or lewd behavior, excessive public drunkeness, underage drinking or other behaviors negatively impacting the experience of your fellow Festival attendees to arrest or remove violators of these policies.
